Mephistomon is the main antagonist of the movie Battle of Adventurers. He has a demonic appearance. He is Ultimate level. His Mega form is Gulfmon.

Role[]
Mephistomon was reformatted from Apocalymon's data, and intended to destroy the world. While fighting his enemy, Omnimon (presumably the one who destroyed Apocalymon), Mephistomon escaped to Earth. Disguised as a man named Mr. Tamashiro, he began creating V Pets, which carried a virus that caused them to turn into devils, and later bio-emerge as evil Digimon. His Digimon invaded the world, but Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, and Seasarmon fought and destroyed many.
Mephistomon sent his minions to capture Minami and bring him her computer containing the vaccine program that could destroy the virus. Mantaraymon brought her to him, and he also held her father Takehito prisoner while posing as Mr. Tamashiro and pretending to be prisoner of his second in command, Baromon, who tried to force Takehito to give him the vaccine program. When Guilmon arrived as Growlmon and destroyed Baromon, Mephistomon revealed his true identity and mortally wounded Seasarmon, who dedigivolved to Labramon. At that point, Terriermon (as Gargomon) and Renamon (as Kyubimon) entered the battle, but Mephistomon sent them and everyone else into the area into his underwater digital world. They were no match for Mephistomon until Growlmon shot down a ship above him, causing it to crash onto him.
Although Labramon released the vaccine program before dying, eliminating Mephistomon's virus and the remainder of his henchmen, Mephistomon survived Growlmon's attack and digivolved to his Mega form, Gulfmon. He easily gained the advantage against the three Champion Digimon until they Matrix Digivolved to WarGrowlmon, Rapidmon, and Taomon, who combined their power into Trinity Burst and impaled Gulfmon with an energy wave, destroying him.

Abilities[]
His attacks are not specifically named in the movie but he attacks with his fists, and with energy waves and energy explosions. He can also disguise himself as a human, leave Omnimon's realm (where Omnimon can't), and create a virus.
Trivia[]
- Mephistomon shares the same voice actor as Myotismon from the first two seasons. He does the exact same voice for MaloMyotismon. Also Gulfmon has been compared to VenomMyotismon.
- His name is derived from the demon Mephisto, or perhaps Mephistopheles, which is another name for the devil.
- Of the four main (non-human) antagonists, Mephistomon is the only one to be killed by Renamon. Zhuqiaomon survives, the D-Reaper is killed by Shibumi and MegaGargomon, and Parasimon is destroyed by Gallantmon.
