The Monster Makers are the people who first created Digimon. They consist of:

- Janyu Wong, a.k.a. Tao
- Rai Aishuwarya, a.k.a. Curly
- Babel
- Daisy
- Rob McCoy, a.k.a. Dolphin
- Mr. Mizuno, a.k.a. Shibumi
They were working on a project to create Digimon and a digital world, but as the funding of their project was cut they were forced to stop. However, Shibumi continued and successfully created Digimon.
The Monster Makers were later brought together by Yamaki, except for Shibumi. They helped the tamers and their Digimon out during their quest in the digital world, and during the battle with the D-Reaper during which Shibumi returned.
